Breaking Through the Waters

$530.00
sold out

Beneath the aquatic beauty of this painting are the 21 aspects of Tara. 21 days of meditation, embodiment, and painting of each aspect. The final layer became a burst through the lake, much like the lotus that revealed the goddess.

I struggled in giving this piece a title, so I asked for help. During a walking meditation I was pushed to listen to a specific video when Kurt Cobain came through and said Breaking Through the Waters. I stopped in my tracks. Goosebumps. So it was! (He IS a Pisces, so it all makes sense.)

24x20, acrylic on stretched canvas
